Osan Air Base to host air show for 1st time in 6 years
SEOUL, May 9 (Yonhap) -- A U.S. air base in South Korea will hold an air show featuring various military jets this weekend, marking the event's resumption after a six-year hiatus, officials said Friday.
The two-day Osan Air Power Days event will kick off Saturday at Osan Air Base in Pyeongtaek, about 60 kilometers south of Seoul, showcasing the South Korean Air Force's Black Eagles aerobatic team and the U.S. Pacific Air Forces F-16 demonstration team.
The air show will also feature performances from other military aircraft, including the F-35 fighter and the A-10 attack aircraft, the air base's website showed.
Osan Air Base -- home to the U.S. 51st Fighter Wing -- last held the air show in 2019 before it was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
