The proposed objectives were met and there is an atmosphere of understanding regarding the existence of a potential for opportunities that will allow the increase of business relations between both countries, the executive emphasized today in statements to Prensa Latina.
On the occasion of the main trade fair organized here since 1991, the tenth session of the Vietnam-Cuba Business Committee was held, at the end of which the Action Plan for the years 2025-2026 was signed, which, according to Carricarte, is very close to the objectives and interests of Cuban businessmen.
The Plan takes into account the main projects of the sectors prioritized in the bilateral relationship and, in turn, reflects the commitment of both parties to accompany the implementation of such plans, since the complexities of the current situation mean that they are not exempt from obstacles to their materialization, he said.
He added that a Business Forum was held in which positive and negative experiences were presented, which serve as a basis for the ongoing work through bilateral meetings with the companies contacted at the fair.
On the other hand, he said, the participation of Cuban entities in Vietnam Expo 2025 has resulted into visits to productive centers, which already entails a deepening of the work, as well as proposals to continue the talks at the level of companies in Cuba.
Carricarte also referred to the important meeting held with the director of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade), Vu Ba Phu, ‘because on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, this year, we want to distinguish Vietnam’s participation in the Havana International Fair (FIHAV)’.
The 34th edition of the most important Vietnamese trade fair, which this year emphasized digital transformation and technological solutions, will end tomorrow at the Hanoi International Exhibition Center, where according to the organizers more than 500 companies from 16 countries and territories converged.
