Will eight-time All-NBA superstar Milwaukee Bucks power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and four-time All-Star Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young suit up for a battle of Eastern Conference playoff hopefuls on Sunday?

The 40-33 Bucks are the Eastern Conference's No. 6 seed at present, while the 35-38 Hawks, losers of two straight, occupy the No. 8 seed.

Both clubs aspire to move up come playoff time, but both have been saddled with their fair share of health problems.

Milwaukee seems likely to fall into a 3-6 first-round playoff matchup with the third-seeded New York Knicks.

Eric Nehm of The Athletic reported Saturday that Antetokounmpo was considered probable to play through a left foot sprain.

Atlanta forward Jalen Johnson — who had arguably been the Hawks' best player this season — has already been ruled out for the season with a left shoulder surgery, per the league's latest injury report.

Reserve center Clint Capela (left fourth metacarpal sprain), backup power forward/center Larry Nance Jr. (right medial femoral condyle fracture), combo guard Kobe Bufkin (right shoulder surgery), and Keaton Wallace (right shoulder sprain) were ruled out for the contest.

Antetokounmpo's status for the contest has officially been revealed. Nehm reports that, according to head coach Doc Rivers, the two-time league MVP will play, after all.

Through 60 games so far for the Bucks, Antetokounmpo is logging averages of 30.2 points on 60.1 percent shooting from the hardwood and 60.4 percent shooting from the foul line, plus 12.0 boards, 6.0 dimes, 1.2 rejections and 0.8 swipes per.

Young, too, is slated to suit up for his squad, after all.

Atlanta could certainly use his scoring and playmaking. In 68 games this year, the 6-foot-1 Oklahoma product is averaging 24.1 points on .412/.336/.875 shooting splits, 11.4 assists and 3.1 rebounds a night.
