For the positions that we lost from our seniors last year, our younger girls have been working very hard in the offseason to earn those spots on the field. We also have four pitchers who have been working hard in the offseason. We ended our season last year in a playoff game against Bald Eagle Area. We were the last seed going against the No. 1 seed. We feel as though our girls showed what type of softball they can play and only lost in that game 3-0. It was a 1-0 game until the sixth inning. To us, doing that well against a team that almost went to the state championship game is definitely something to build off of and start our season at that level. As coaches, that is the level of play we are expecting from our girls and to carry that throughout our season so that we can be better than we were last season.”
