Montague DECA brought 13 students to compete at the DECA State Career Development Conference held from March 13-15 at Huntington Place in Detroit. Over 3,400 Michigan DECA students were competing in various business and marketing related events.
Montague had four students that earned finalists medals at the District 2 Competition held on December 18 at Grand Valley State University that competed at state including:
- Sophomore Tyson Schattenberg in Business Finance
- Seniors Kiley Miller and Charlotte Stuart in Buying & Merchandising Team Decision Making Event
- Senior Jaxon Risch in Financial Consulting Event
Joining them in events that competed directly at the state level were:
- Senior Jordan Tolan and Junior Abriana Ramthun in School-Based Enterprise
- Seniors Ava Pelton and Jordan Netcott in Ethics Team Decision Making
- Juniors Emalee McGee and Santiago Perales in Chapter Awards Project
- Senior Riley Mulder with his Innovation Plan
- Freshman Ellie Dexter and Sophie Miller for their Sales Project
Congratulations to Kiley Miller and Charlotte Stuart for earning state finalist medals for their event. Jordyn Tolan and Abriana Ramthun also earned gold certification for their school-based enterprise project. Emalee McGee and Santiago Perales earned highest honors for their Chapter Awards Project. Jordan Netcott and Ava Pelton also earned an opportunity to attend the Thrive Academy at Internationals for their Thrive Campaign.
