MEDORA, N.D. (KFYR) - On Saturday, May 4, the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame announced the 2024 class of inductees to the Hall of Honorees.

This year, the inductees for the Ranching categories are: Lawrence Hopkins for Pre-1940s Rodeo, Arnold Bendish for Modern Area Ranching and Froelich Ranch for Ranches.

The inductees for the Rodeo categories are: Ken Neuens for Pre-1970s Rodeo, Shaun Stroh and Stuart Ternes for Modern Era Rodeo, Why Not Minot (Bucking Bull) for Rodeo Livestock and Jim Thompson for Rodeo Arena.

Bonita (Bohnsack) Laske was selected for Leaders of Ranching & Rodeo.

The nominees were selected based on their significant additions to North Dakota’s western culture through their involvements in the livestock industry, rodeo, the arts, ranching and entertainment.

The NDCHF Board of Directors awarded Fred Sorenson with a Legacy Award as recognition for his time, talent and financial support to the North Dakota western community.

Recognition of those selected will begin on Friday, June 14, with dinner at the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame in Medora.

The induction award ceremony will be located at Tjaden Terrace in Medora on Saturday, June 15.

The event is open to the public.
