Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino’s annual Million Meals Gala fundraiser will have a Roaring ’20s theme this year.

The Million Meals Gala: A Roaring ‘20s Affair will be held at 6 p.m. May 11 at Feeding America’s distribution warehouse in Riverside, at 2950 Jefferson St., Suite B.

The event features a cocktail reception and dinner, plus live and silent auctions offering items including a three-night stay in Seattle with a chef-guided food tour and a seven-night stay in Mexico, according to a news release.

The event will also honor supporters of Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino. This year’s honorees include Central Community Christian Fellowship, as Community Partner of the Year; KFROG 95.1 FM, Media Partner of the Year; Home Depot 6683, Corporate Partner of the Year; and :Safarian Choi & Bolstad LLP, President’s Choice Award.

“We’re thrilled to bring the community together at the Million Meals Gala, rallying support to strengthen local hunger relief initiatives,” Carolyn Fajardo, chief executive officer of Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino, said in the news release. “With over 400,000 individuals in our community facing the threat of food insecurity annually, fundraisers like this are crucial to ensuring vital assistance is accessible to those in need.”

Proceeds from the event will benefit the regional food bank’s work to alleviate hunger throughout Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
