Oman's healthcare event offers business opportunities

Muscat: Oman’s largest healthcare and medical event was opened on Monday at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre by Sayyid Dr. Sultan bin Yarub Al Busaidi, Advisor to the Ministry of Health for Health Affairs.
Organised by exhibitions and conferences specialist Omanexpo, the medical event is now in its ninth edition in Oman and will run from September 23 to 25 between from 11 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
This year, the show will once again offer fresh business and networking opportunities by presenting close to 100 participating companies from China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Iran, Lebanon, Malaysia, Oman, Pakistan, Slovakia, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
An exhibition of the latest medical products, equipment and technology, including medical disposables and consumables, personal care products and diagnostic and laboratory equipment will be on show while a display of instruments and services, pharmaceutical products, ayurvedic services and centres, physiotherapy and orthopaedic services and technology that ranges from eye and skin care to infertility treatment consultancy will provide an anticipated 5,000 visitors with the opportunity to learn and see first-hand things available to them.
The highlight of the exhibition is the India pavilion, with more than 40 companies representing various health and medical sectors, hospitals and healthcare centres. The Iran pavilion equally offers several health and medical treatments and services.
The associated free-to-attend three-day conference sessions will be presented by a line-up of highly esteemed and qualified health and medical experts, who will discuss the health workforce and safe practice environment, human resources in health, health labour market trends and dynamics, patient safety, risk and performance management.
The two-day workshops designed for medical specialists will also be free-to-attend . The sessions are accredited by the Oman Speciality Board (OMSB).
The organisers have also ensured a more worthwhile visitor experience by offering free medical consultations with specialists from some of the biggest clinics, hospitals and healthcare providers in Germany, Iran, India, UAE, Thailand, Malaysia and Turkey.
