Cars have been inspiring songs and movies for decades and car shows have been bringing out the little kid in us for just as long. Each generation of car enthusiasts has their “Little Deuce Coupe”, that car that is special to them. That’s what was on display at the American Car Show benefiting the American Outreach Foundation recently. Held at the Bermuda Dunes Airport, over 250 cars, 60 motorcycles and a gaggle of planes were there to feast your eyes on.

Celebrating the 10 year anniversary of American Outreach Foundation, the event helps to raise awareness for their cause - providing electric wheelchairs to veterans and low-income seniors who otherwise wouldn’t have the financial means to afford them.

Fourth District, Riverside County Supervisor Manual Perez opened the awards ceremony recognizing Oscar Llort President/Founder of American Outreach for his outstanding support of disabled veterans and seniors. Awards were given out for Best of Show — Alfred DiMora 2017 Custom DiMora Vicci 6.2, Runner Up — Robert Hall 1951 Chevrolet Tin Woodie Wagon and People’s Choice — David Heusinkveld 1957 Chevrolet Impala.

Country and oldies music was provided by the Morgan Leigh Band and Big John Miller from A Cowboy and A Dancer Entertainment.

American Outreach Foundation’s next event is their Gala March 18 and Invitational Golf Tournament March 19, 2018. For more information go to  americanoutreachfoundation.com or call (760) 673-7982.
